2017 Quartz Acorn vineyard pinot noir

Aromatically the Quartz Acorn Pinot Noir is wild and savage, showing nods to the aroma profile of a Barolo with pomegranate, dried cherry, anise, eucalyptus, dried rose, and sage.  On the palate the wine shows a beautiful middleweight palate and builds with a finish that has tons of dried floral and red fruit concentrated flavors. There is a little more tannin on this wine, which brings the start of the ideal drinking window for 2021. This wine should age well into 2028+.

2017 - 96 points James Suckling

This is impressive in so many ways. Deeply complex dark cherries, plums and blackberries are framed in seductive fragrance and spicy complexity and the palate has a plush thread of ripe, deeply flavorsome blueberries, dark cherries and plums. Supple, fleshy and detailed texture. Great wine.
